We hadn’t gotten over the grief of Zainab’s brutal death yet that the news of another minor girl being raped and murdered in Islamabad has broken the internet. The case has come to light just a few days after the news of a 20-year-old girl being raped by police officials became known.

When the 10-year-old Farishta Mohmand went missing in Islamabad five days ago, the police officials refused to lodge an FIR on the complaint of the girl’s parents.

Farishta has been found now but raped, mutilated and dead! The criminal negligence of our system has once again cost an innocent life. As Farishta’s parents protest outside the Polyclinic for not undertaking postmortem investigation, Pakistanis stand shocked, pained and horrified!
