Inzamam ul Haq, former Pakistani captain, and one of the best Pakistani batsmen ever had to undergo angioplasty in a private hospital after suffering from a minor heart attack.
One of the family members of the former cricketer broke the news of his health. However, his manager later revealed that his angioplasty went well and that Inzamam’s condition was stable. Nevertheless, the doctors had kept him under observation. The manager also told that a stent was successfully placed in Inzamam’s heart.
As soon as the news was announced, Wasim Akram, the former Pakistani skipper and top-rated bowler of his time immediately took to Twitter to wish Inzamam a healthy and speedy recovery in a heartwarming message.
“Dear Inzi, you have a beautiful heart. Seems like it’s caught the evil eye. I was worried that someone with such a big heart was in such pain. Praying that you get better quickly so that your sweet heart can make everyone happy. My dearest friend, take good care. Let’s meet soon,” he tweeted.
Akram and Inzamam have played many domestic and international matches together and they enjoyed a great camaraderie.
Soon after, many other players from the cricket fraternity took to the bird app to wish Inzi a speedy recovery.
“Lots of prayers for your speedy recovery Inzamam Bhai. May Allah bless you with lots of strength and complete health,” wrote Hassan Ali. “Get well soon insha’Allah,” he added.
“Prayers for Inzamam bhai’s quick recovery. May Allah grant him a long healthy life, Ameen,” wrote former bowler, Umar Gul.
In a recent development, his manager revealed that the former captain was safely discharged from the hospital and he was doing fairly well, Alhumdulilah!
