Fawad Alam registered his international comeback last year and ever since he has scored four centuries. It is worth mentioning here that the middle-order batsman had scored a century in 2009 and was ignored soon after for reasons that PCB is yet to explain. Nevertheless, the left-hander after scoring another ton against the West Indies yesterday, has become the quickest Asian to reach 5 Test hundreds. Now in record books, he has achieved the feat in 22 innings breaking the record of Cheteshwar Pujara who had managed similar number of hundreds in 24 innings.

Commenting on Fawad’s rise, renowned commentator Mike Haysman said, “What would he have achieved if it wasn’t for his forgotten decade? Fawad Alam is an extraordinary player and a prime example of playing the game instinctively. If your technique is different but sound, turn it into an advantage.”

Ramiz Raja on the other hand is being rumored to be in contention for the post of Chairman Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The former skipper then is all set to meet Prime Minister, Imran Khan today and is likely to takeover from Ehsan Mani in the coming days.

Commenting on his possible appointment, former wicket-keeper batsman Kamran Akmal said, “A cricketer coming in as a chairman would benefit domestic cricket. It will bring in money. There was a lot of talk about bringing in money by commercializing so that players get money. Ramiz (Raja) bhai coming in will benefit players financially. Maybe the teams might improve as well. Management might get better as well because he has been a captain himself.”
