The first look of Yasir Hussain playing the infamous serial killer, Javed Iqbal in the feature film titled, “Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story Of A Serial Killer” is out and the fans are awed to see the similarity in the real and reel life characters.

The film is based on Javed Iqbal, the person who confessed to killing and dismembering 100 young boys in 1999, after sexually assaulting them.

Not just that, he even had the audacity to call up news organizations to tell them the details of his crime and even send photographs as evidence. On top of that, he admitted that killing wasn’t a big deal for him, he could’ve murdered 500 boys, but he had pledged to murder 100 only.

Iqbal claimed that this was his revenge against the police who accused him of sodomy, but failed to do anything when he filed a complaint against two men who allegedly beat him up.

To make his act as gruesome and ghastly as possible, he kidnapped the runaways, street children, orphans, and beggars between the ages of 10-15 and murdered them after raping them. Later, he melted their dismembered bodies in hydrochloric acid to dispose of them in the Ravi river.

After committing these heinous crimes, Iqbal turned himself in after he walked into the office of a local Urdu daily in Lahore in 1999. This incident sent shivers down the entire nation’s spine and his arrest was made immediately after.

The latest film featuring Yasir Hussain and Ayesha Omar is based on the true events of the life of Javed Iqbal. It has been directed by Abu Aleeha who has also written the screenplay of the film.

It is an investigative story that looks into the crimes committed by Iqbal and the pieces of evidence that he presented the media with in 1999.
