Tracks in Pakistan are generally a batter’s paradise. The curators reused the pitch from the first Test in Multan to ensure that the ball offered some assistance to the spinners. Therefore, if the curators get it wrong in Rawalpindi, Pakistan will need an additional pacer to add variety to the bowling attack. On the other hand, if the curators get it right, Pakistan will still need an additional pacer to make use of reverse swing effectively.

Third Spinner Wasn’t Really Required In Multan
Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were enough to do the job for the men in green during the previous encounter. Zahid Mahmood played the game, but his services were required for only six overs. Pakistan also has reliable part-time spinners to handle any unforeseen situations, so it makes sense to add another pacer to the lineup.

Because Amir Jamal Didn’t Look 100 Percent
Amir didn’t look 100 percent in the previous game, so Pakistan needs another pacer to back him up in case he is unable to complete the entire match. That said, the Green Shirts would be better off replacing him if he is not fully fit. Either way, Pakistan must play at least two fast bowlers in Rawalpindi to ensure versatility in the bowling attack.
