Coronavirus Updates Pakistan

The number of people affected by the deadly coronavirus in Pakistan has been on a surge for the past month, i.e. ever since the lockdown was eased.

Coronavirus Updates Pakistan Dated 12th June

The total number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 125,933.

As per the sitrep issued by the Ministry of the National Health Services, Regulations & Coordination, in the last 24 hours, 6,397 new coronavirus cases and 107 deaths were reported across Pakistan.

Punjab

Punjab reported the second highest number of new coronavirus cases in the country i.e. 1,919 and the highest number of suspected cases i.e. 10,116.

49 deaths were reported in the province during this time.

Sindh

Sindh reported the highest i.e 3,038 new COVID-19 cases in the country. The number of deaths stood at 38 in the past 24 hours. The number of suspected cases on the other hand is 10,081.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)

KP reported 581 new cases with 13 deaths in a single day. There are at least 2,398 suspected cases in the province as of today.

Balochistan

338 new cases and 02 deaths were reported in Balochistan while 756 more people are suspected to be the potential carriers of the virus.

Gilgit Baltistan

Gilgit Baltistan had 12 new cases and with 01 death reported in the past day. While the number of suspected cases stood at 76.

AJK

AJK had 46 new coronavirus cases out of the total reported in the country with 01 death. There are 369 suspected cases in the region.

Islamabad Capital Territory

In Islamabad, 463 new cases were reported with 03 deaths in the last 24 hours. 3,766 suspected cases have been tested in the federal capital during this time period.

Availability and Utilization of Ventilators

In Punjab, out of the total 1,322 ventilators, 353 are allocated for COVID19 patients. 160 of them are currently available. Sindh has a total of 244 ventilators available for coronavirus patients out of which 225 are currently vacant. KP has 24 while in Balochistan and AJK all the ventilators allocated for COVID19 are currently vacant. Islamabad on the other hand has 56 ventilators available as of today.

Healthcare workers affected by COVID19

A total of 3,812 healthcare workers have been affected by the deadly virus till date. 1,258 in KP, 860 in Punjab, 922 in Sindh, and 329 in Balochistan.
