Shifting to new normal hasn’t been easy for millions around the globe. Where people have largely experienced productivity lows during the lockdown in work-from-home settings, there are some who have achieved milestones in this time and surely outdone many others in the game.
One of those high-achievers is Fatima Bintay Salman, a 13-year-old from Karachi. She is currently an 8th grade student.

While many of us were busy lazing around, cursing the pandemic for forcing us to stay indoors, Salman was busy weaving magic with her words. During the first year of lockdown, when she was only 12, Fatima wrote her first book, “Finding.”
It was published on an online platform called Wattpad. It is an app for writers where they can read, write and publish stories. “It aims to create social communities around stories for both amateur and established writers.”
After that, she wrote three more books on the same platform, namely, “The journey of a broken heart,” “The promise breaker, and the fool” and “The girl.”
Fatima Bintay Salman mostly writes on teen-fiction genres, but her books can be read by people of all ages. The teenager aims to write more books in future.

With her work, she has been able to garner an audience from different parts of the world like the UK, the US, Australia, India, and Pakistan as well.
Salman’s book The journey of a broken heart is one of her most popular works on the platform, which has amassed more than 11,000 reads and 2200 comments and votes.
The book has also been awarded the title of “The Best On-going Story” on Wattpad.
