We will be celebrating a very different Eid-ul-Fitr this year. The coronavirus pandemic will certainly take a toll on the eid celebrations. It will be a challenge for people who are still in isolation and strictly maintaining social distancing. But, let’s be hopeful that eid will be just fine and try to celebrate it while fulfilling the COVID-19 protocols.

Here are 5 ways in which you can celebrate eid while social distancing!

1. Forget Coronavirus

Don’t get us wrong! We are only saying this so the spirits are high. Life is all about learning new things and facing new challenges. Let this eid be a learning experience and an opportunity to thank Allah for everything He has blessed us with. SO, keep your eid spirits high.

2. Get ready and enjoy

Isolation and social distancing don’t mean eid won’t be celebrated at all. There is no need of going to sleep after eid prayers. Spend time with your family, eat all the delicious food, take pictures with the family to capture the beautiful moments, and spam the social media feeds!

3. Have a virtual party

We all know we can’t visit our friends and family if we want to keep ourselves and others safe. So, a good way to spend time with them on eid is to have an all-inclusive-family video call. Perhaps, do it at lunch or dinner to make it more special.

4. Hit the road

While there will be no restrictions on-road travel, it’s a good idea to leave the house and head somewhere which isn’t crowded. Find yourself a beautiful and quiet place and enjoy with your family. Or just take a long road trip.

5. Have a Netflix party

So what if you are away from friends and can’t catch a movie at the cinema? Have a Netflix party with your buddies. Watch a movie or a season together and enjoy the time.

Eid this year will be different but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy it with our family while social distancing or away from public places.
