Islamabad is mostly perceived as an expensive city to live in, at least by the people living outside the capital but if you know your way around it, you will find all the stuff you need at genuinely reasonable prices.
Nobody can beat us Pakistanis when it comes to getting stuff at the cheapest rates. The bargaining power of our aunties is beyond the other world’s imagination. But even the aunties somehow loose their power when it comes to restaurants. We’re all kinda stuck paying whatever price is set on the menu.

However, just because the price on the menu cannot be negotiated does not mean that we can’t find ourselves eateries that would not only take our taste buds on a tantalizing ride but would also go easy on our pockets.
So, to save you from the hassle of searching for these places, we’ve compiled a list of 5 economical eateries in Islamabad from where you can get the best tasting food at an affordable rate.
1. Hot n Spicy
If you’re into the monster roll parathas we call, “Boom Boom” here in Islamabad, then look no further than “Hot n Spicy.”
They sell these roll parathas in three different sizes: Normal, Jumbo and Boom Boom, offering a wide selection of toppings and spices to choose from.
Other than that, they also have burgers, fried chicken and a wide range of BBQ items and a mouthwatering offering of Chicken Karahi.
Hot n Spicy is mainly based in I-8 but they also have branches in I-10 and Blue Area.
The coolest part is that this eatery serves till 4 a.m. so the next time you have a late night/early morning craving; you know where to call!
2. Najeeb Spot
The famous Afghani burger spot in F-10 is a go to whenever you want to fill your tummy on a budget.
The wide range of burgers give you a lot of options other than the usual sausage or meatloaf. They make burgers with nuggets, patties, seekh kebab and chapli kebab.
The distinct taste of the Afghani bread, filled with fries and pungent sauces is a combo that’s hard to get bored of.
Najeeb Spot has recently opened another branch in I-8, continuing the tradition of feeding us at a reasonable price!
3. Bismillah Tikka and Chargha House
If you’re looking to eat something totally desi but don’t want your wallet to feel as light as a feather after the meal, then you will not find a better place then Bismillah in F-8.
Their chapli kebabs and BBQ are unbeatable in taste. The value for money which you’ll get at Bismillah is virtually unprecedented.

Their Karahis are the best Islamabad has to offer but a full serving of karahi will probably cost you a little more than Rs. 500 but it’s worth every penny!
4. Pait Pooja
There are several spots in the twin cities where you can fulfill your craving for crispy stuffed parathas but Pait Pooja in G-11 might just be the most economical of them all.
The crowd at Pait Pooja is a living proof that the love for parathas among Pakistanis won’t die down anytime soon. From the east-west fusion pizza and cheese parathas to the traditional desi Aloo ka paratha, Pait Pooja is your go-to spot for the classic cuisine.
They have a vast array of mashroobat to go with your parathas, giving you a classic end to the meal.
5. Lavita
The last entry on our list of economical eateries in Islamabad is Lavita.
Located in sector G-10, Lavita is one of the best providers of your regular rice supplements. From Pulao to Biryani, their meals promise you a distinct taste which you will struggle to find anywhere else. Moreover, you can choose whether you want aloo in your biryani or not so there goes the long standing argument; to each his/her own!
