Speaking with Geo news, Zainab Abbas told how Sky Sports approached her to work for one of their upcoming tournaments called the Hundred — a league that features faces from across the globe.
I was deeply honored to receive this opportunity. Other than achieving a personal milestone, I see this as a chance to make my country proud on international levels, Abbas commented.
Zainab reflected on how making a mark in this male-dominated field was not easy for her. She furthered that technical skills are integral to making it big here, looks only take you so far.
There’s a misperception that I see among people that it is easier to clinch on opportunities if you look a certain way. However, I believe that it doesn’t sustain for a longer period of time if technical knowledge is not good enough,” she said.
