Wasim Akram Lauds Shaniera For The Clean-Up Operation In Clifton Beach

Almost about five months ago, Shaniera Akram wanted Clifton Beach to be closed and for all the right reason.

As of this minute, I Shaniera Akram, a citizen of Karachi declare Clifton beach officially hazardous and is in state of an emergency.

Taking to Twitter Shaniera posted multiple pictures of open medical waste littered across the beach in Karachi.

There is kilometres of medical waste including hundreds of open needle syringes amongst other things, that has come in from the ocean. Following the concerns raised by Shaniera, Clifton Beach was cordoned off by Sindh police for the safety of visitors.

And now, the efforts of Shaniera have been paid off as the Clifton Beach is now clean and presents a captivating view for visitors.

Wasim Akram took to Twitter to applaud Shaniera for initiating this campaign. He praised all the government officials for their efforts and the workers who come every morning to clean the beach.

In a video message, he said, “Good Morning! I am in Karachi. I am just showing you this could be anywhere in the world. It’s a beautiful beach, it’s a clean beach and guys this is Clifton beach. So, credit to all of the people who have been involved. This shows that if we all unite and make a resolution, as a nation, we can achieve it. ”

“So, well done Karachi, what a clean beach!” Wasim Akram concluded.
