Pakistanis Have All Sorts Of Reactions To General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s Extension As COAS

How Twitterati Reacted on The Extension of General Qamar Javed Bajwa

Chief of Army Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa was granted an extension of 3 years on Monday. The government took this decision in the wake of the current Kashmir crises and the need for uniformity of military leadership in Pakistan during this time.

He was appointed as chief of army staff in November 2016 by former prime minister Nawaz Sharif.

While the decision did not come as a shock, it nevertheless attracted an array of reactions from Pakistanis.

It seems, some media personnel were aware of this decision well before it was formally announced through the Prime Minister’s office.

On the other hand, Pakistanis like you and I, who learnt about General Qamar Javed Bajwa’s extension through television were quick to take to Twitter to have our sentiments documented on this high profile decision.
