Babar Azam
Babar Azam is the number one ranked T20 batsman in the world and hence, the Kings need him to deliver during the prestigious event if they are for once, get into the final of the tournament. A good few weeks for Babar Azam without a shadow of doubt are likely to benefit the franchise big time.
Alex Hales
Englishman Alex Hales has a mind-blowing strike rate of 136.65 in the format and therefore, it is understood that the franchise will be looking forward to him scoring some quick runs while batting up the order. Hales is a match winner and with him in the squad, Kings should feel very confident of doing well during the event.
Sharjeel Khan
Sharjeel Khan is likely to either open or bat at the one down position for Karachi Kings during PSL 5. The 30 year old is making a comeback after a spot-fixing ban and thus, should be hungry to reclaim his lost position in the national team. Expect explosive starts from the Kings if the left-hander is able to find form anytime during the month long tournament.

Who Else?
Skipper Imad Wasim will be leading Pakistan’s T20 skipper i.e. Babar Azam during the event which is most obvious of the many challenges that he will have to overcome throughout PSL 5. Hence, Imad has to get it right otherwise, despite so many stars in the squad; Kings might still not be able to reach the final of PSL that is scheduled in Lahore during the month of March.
The franchise’s support staff includes the duo of Wasim Akram and Dean Jones. Both gentlemen lead Islamabad United to victory during the first edition of the tournament and thus, Kings would really be hoping for a similar result with them in the dug-out.
