Taher Shah Finally Dropped Farishta But Pakistanis Are Disappointed

After weeks of wait, Taher Shah finally released the video of his third single, Farishta.

Keeping up with past precedent, Pakistanis were alive with anticipation in the days preceding the song’s release.

But little did people know that they were in for some major disappointment!

First off, Farishta was not much of an original. It was simply an Urdu translation of Shah’s last single, Angel.

What lyrics? They are just a translation of his previous song.. thoroughly disappointed #TaherShah

But one would have forgiven that in a heartbeat. The biggest source of dismay for the fans was – and if you don’t know this already, I’m sorry for being the one to break it for you – the absence of Taher Shah from the video of Farishta!

Expectations were shattered – even for his fans in India.

Pakistani Twitter has remained in a state of protest ever since the video went live.

Fans like Fasi Zaka, however, have been quick to reconcile with reality and have an important message for the heartbroken: Take what you get in the time of coronavirus.
