Following multiple media reports, here is a look at why Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fawad Alam and Mohd. Amir are likely to be part of Pakistan’s tour to England that is scheduled to begin next month.
Misbah-ul-Haq Says Sarfaraz Ahmed Will Tour England
Head Coach and Chief Selector, Misbah-ul-Haq has clearly stated that former captain, Sarfaraz Ahmed will be part of the touring squad for the English series. While confirming the decision the 46 year old said, “Yes it makes sense to take two keepers on this tour because where will we find a replacement in those conditions. Sarfaraz is obviously our choice.”
Azhar Ali Says Fawad Alam To Be Part Of The England Bound Squad
Test captain on the other hand confirmed middle-order batsman Fawad Alam’s selection for Pakistan’s first international tour following the COVID-19 outbreak. While commenting on the decision Azhar said, “He (Fawad Alam) is currently part of our team and whenever he gets an opportunity, I am sure he will make it count and perform.”
Mohd. Amir Certain As 25 Players Likely To Be Selected For The English Trip
Pakistan is likely to fly 25 to 27 players for the tour in order to logistical arrangements that obviously have become difficult to manage because of Coronavirus. Hence, the probability of the green shirts selecting 8 to 10 pacers for the trip is pretty bright. Mohd. Amir’s inclusion then seems almost certain.
