Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) CEO, Wasim Khan a couple of days back in a press conference, revealed some interesting information about future plans with regard to more international cricket in the country. Hence, here is a look at what he had to say about South Africa’s short tour to Pakistan and the proposed day and night Karachi Test against Bangladesh.
South Africa’s Short Tour To Pakistan
Wasim revealed that PCB were looking forward to hosting the South Africans for a short tour. Reports in media suggest that it is going to be a T20 series consisting of three international matches. The 48 year old also revealed that PCB was trying to organize the first match of the proposed rubber on the 24th of March, 2020 i.e. a day after the Pakistan Super League (PSL) final.

Day And Night Karachi Test Against Bangladesh
Wasim during the concerned press conference also informed that a proposal has been sent to BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board) for the Karachi Test (scheduled in April) to be a day and night affair.
A day night Test then, will not only make way for more of such games to be staged in the country but will also help PCB in extending its season that has been hit hard of late owing to reduced sun light hours during the winter season particularly, in cities like Rawalpindi and Lahore.

So, What’s The Probability?
PCB seems to have had a patch with BCB and therefore, there is this good probability of BCB accepting the request. PCB has also had a good relationship with the South African board in recent years and thus, if everything goes well during the upcoming PSL then, we can all expect South Africa’s short tour to Pakistan to materialize.
