Digital media has been abuzz about this new couple-to-be and there’s a reason for it. PML-N leader, Maryam Nawaz’s son, Junaid Safdar is all set to marry former NAB chairman, Saif ur Rehman’s daughter, Ayesha Saif, and this has got people excited.
Nawaz took to Twitter to share the invite of her son’s nikkah saying that it will take place in London on 22nd August. Ever since the announcement, the leading headlines have been about this wedding as it is the union of two of the top-tier politicians’ children.
However, according to the tweet, PML-N’s Vice President and her husband, Captain Safdar won’t be able to make it to the ceremony as their names are on the ECL and they cannot leave Pakistan at the moment.
Geo News wrote that even if the two of them are granted permission for travel, they still can’t attend the nikkah as they have to stay quarantined for 10 days post-travel to the UK. These restrictions are held for Pakistanis as the country is on UK’s red list.
Well, whatever the case may be, this is the first marriage after Bakhtawar Zardari’s that is all the rage these days and so digital publishers cannot have enough of it.
Even though it won’t be held in Pakistan, people are still excited about it and are definitely looking forward to the event coverage.
According to media sources, event preps have begun and the invites are being distributed amongst relatives, friends, and acquaintances. Some of the news sources even shared that this is a love-cum-arranged marriage as Junaid Safdar and Ayesha Saif had known each other for quite some time. Later on, the families met and decided to bind them in wedlock.
