On Monday, a renowned journalist and anchorperson, Arshad Sharif along with his talkshow team members allegedly beat up a young vlogger, Siddique Jan in Gwadar.
According to reports, the two were present in Gwadar to cover PM Imran Khan’s visit to the city where he will be inaugurating the second phase of China Pakistan Economic Corridor project.

Several media outlets reported that Arshad Sharif and his gang cornered Siddique Jan, knocked him to the ground and then the anchorperson repeatedly punched him in the face while the rest of them stood around him. The vlogger reportedly underwent serious injuries. They also crushed his phone afterwards.
The details of the attack weren’t initially revealed but later unconfirmed reports suggested that Sharif accused Jan of verbally abusing him.The two are yet to comment on the incident.

Not many big media outlets have covered the episode, however, Pakistanis took to social media to condemn the act, and they even asked for justice for Jan.
Barrister, Hassaan Niazi took to Twitter to speak up in favour of Jan and to call out the likes of Sharif on their unruly behavior. He tagged CEO of Ary, Salman Iqbal to suspend the journalist from his services in order to serve him a lesson for his badmashi.
