After “Dirilis: Ertugrul” Imran Khan Has Another Turkish Drama Recommendation For You!

Prime Minister Imran Khan appears to be a huge fan of Turkish dramas. He has another recommendation for Pakistanis after the huge success of Dirilis: Ertugrul in the country.

Senator Faisal Javed Khan took to Twitter to share that Imran Khan wanted another Turkish drama, Yunus Emre: Aşkin Yolculuğu, to be aired in Pakistan next.

The Chairman of the Standing Committee on Information, Broadcasting & Heritage shared, “Yunus Emre (the Dervish) was an Islamic poet, a mystic and a poor villager. Story of a great Sufi wholly dedicated to Allah and search for unity.”

The PTI senator described the show as “…yet another hit created by Mehmet Bozdag,” who is also the writer of Diriliş: Ertuğrul and “a journey of transformation“.

“Yunus Emre was well versed in mystical philosophy, esp that of the 13th-century poet and mystic Jalaluddin Rumi. Serial is a great example of meticulous attention to detail work,” he added.

Well, it won’t be wrong to expect an Urdu version of this Turkish drama recommended by Imran Khan soon on PTV.

But of course, not everyone is enthusiastic about Turkish content making it to Pakistani prime time television.
