VIRAL VIDEO! 19 Members Of A Tableeghi Jamaat Were Caught Sneaking Into Islamabad Amid Corona Lockdown

Authorities in Pakistan are on the go ever since 41,000 people attended a religious congregation in Lahore and then scattered across the country. Police have been searching to screen the members of the tableeghi jamaat after several members of that congregation were tested positive for coronavirus.

According to a senior official at the National Command and Control Center (NCCC), almost 44 people at the congregation had been tested positive till now.

As per reports, 5200 teams of 8 members each have been spread across the country to look out and test those who attended the congregation last month.

While the country has been put under lockdown with limited inter-city travel allowed only under special circumstances, police caught 19 members of a Tableeghi Jamaat hiding in a truck on Thursday.

According to the video on Twitter, a truck was searched on the Islamabad Highway toll plaza. 19 members of tableeghi jamaat were found in the truck who were apparently sneaking into Islamabad!

Upon asking they told the police that they were coming from Multan.

It remains unclear if they had been in contact with any of the coronavirus patients or if they had gone through screening themselves. But the government has repeatedly asked these members to quarantine themselves to stop the spread of the deadly virus.

People are upset with the members of tableeghi jamaats who continue to set a very wrong example while putting the lives of many at risk!
