Last week a video went viral in which a woman armed with what seemed like a baseball bat was seen breaking a car left, right and center in Islamabad’s busy F-10 Markaz.

Dressed in track pants and a sweat shirt, the woman seemed grandly agitated as she took the bat to heavily damage a black car parked in the middle of the marketplace. Almost a minute after the viral video began, a man, believed to be the owner of the damaged vehicle walked up and pushed the woman. However, this did not seem to deter the lady who recovered quickly from the shove and approached him immediately after finding stability. It was at this point that the crowd, which was earlier watching from afar began to gather around the couple, who eventually walked away from the scene engaged in an argument.

At first there was speculation that perhaps the angry Islamabad woman attacking the car was upset with the vehicle’s owner for parking his car behind hers. There was also conjecture regarding a lover’s quarrel.
However, a day after the video broke the local internet, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat confirmed through a tweet that the Islamabad woman attacking the car as well as the man in the video – her husband – had been taken into police custody.
He shared that once caught, it was revealed that the couple was wanted in over 100 drugs and robbery related cases.

Well that puts at least one aspect of the story to rest. However, we’re still very curious to know what the fight between the partners in crime was about!
