Discarded opener Sharjeel Khan while representing Karachi Kings became the first batsman of this year’s PSL (i.e. PSL 6) to score a century. His brilliant innings nevertheless was not enough to stop Islamabad United from registering an upset victory against the title defenders. Still, he decided to open up following the wonderful knock and so, here is a look at what he had to say.
Sharjeel Khan Overjoyed After Scoring The First Century Of PSL 6
Explaining how he felt after his 100, Sharjeel said “I am thankful to Allah that I could play such a knock. I was waiting for such an innings from myself, an innings that would bring back my confidence completely. I am feeling really good now. I am now even more confident in terms of batting. I will try to carry this forward. I scored the first century in the HBL PSL for Islamabad and now I have scored my second century against them. I feel really good”.
Explains Why Karachi Kings Lost The Game
While explaining why Kings despite being favorites lost the game to a somewhat lowly rated Islamabad United side, Sharjeel said, “In the T20 format, one player can change the entire game. We bowled well, but also didn’t (in some cases). We will talk about our mistakes and try to minimize them in the future. It is a T20 tournament with good matches and great competition. All teams are equal. We will try to do well in the future”.
