1. Khajla

Made of wheat and cornflour, and deep fried in oil, Khajla is like a Pakistani version of one-piece, mighty sized, and extra crunchy cereal. Pour in some hot milk and a few tablespoons of sugar and your Khajla is ready to be devoured in less than 5 minutes! This nutritious and convenience aspect of the recipe makes Khajla a must-have at every Sehri in a desi household.

2. Pheni

Pheni is Khajla with Semolina in the shape of vermicelli! The crunchy thin noodles, when served in milk, soften to give a creamy taste to the mixture. Rich in fiber, Pheni is a healthy way to keep your fast as it keeps the stomach full for the longest time in a day. And, yes! It’s way too easier to cook than any paratha or roti!

3. Curd/Lassi

This one item always runs short in the market during Ramzan. Curd has a soothing effect and helps keep the thirst away; the reason why it becomes a staple at every Pakistani Sehri. Many like consuming curd in the form of Lassi, a traditional Pakistani drink.
