Pakistan’s bowling hasn’t been too impressive of late. The bowlers haven’t picked up regular wickets both with the new and the old ball. Waqar to be fair did a pretty decent job for as long as he was the bowling coach during his previous tenures. Both former skippers have worked together on more than one occasion during the last decade or so. Not only have they represented Pakistan together but they have also been part of the dressing room for Islamabad United. Thus, they by now should be used to having practical and frank conversations. It is then absolutely imperative that they make use of their work experience to define roles and draw boundaries in order to ensure a healthy work environment.
