Here Is What’s Wrong
For a start Pakistan have introduced too many changes too quickly and that too during a world cup year which obviously is a bad idea. Dropping Mohd. Nawaz and Mohd. Wasim (who was in brilliant form during the ICC ODI world cup) is certainly mind-boggling. Also Pakistan has had an issue at the death for a while now and so, not playing Zaman Khan who is considered a specialist in bowling the last few overs is also strange.
Usama Mir on the other hand has not really impressed ever since making his international debut. Therefore, it would have been better to either play Mohd. Nawaz or select all-rounder Salman Ali Agha in the squad.
