Every now and then, we keep on hearing from a woman that their Careem captain kept harassing them throughout their ride.
But what remains to one’s shock is the fact, despite several girls coming up the number of such incident is only growing.
It is because the authorities (both the companies and the law enforcing agencies) fail to inflict a penalty commensurate with the heinousness of their crime.
Yet again, another girl took to Twitter to share what she had to go through as her Careem captain continued to harass her publicly.
She made a video as a proof while the captain “kept touching himself throughout the way” that almost made them crash into a truck.
Careem customer care responded on Twitter asking for details so they can “escalate it on urgent basis.”
And this is not the first time she went through something as horrific as this. Earlier, she shared another Careem captain harassing her during her ride.
She also mentioned how the Careem customer care wasn’t supportive enough to look into the matter as grave as harassment.

And not just twice, even before she had to go through the horror of being with an old aged driver harassing her throughout her ride.
And despite complaining to the customer care everytime, these incidents haven’t stopped and only increased in their number.
It goes beyond one’s imagination what this girl went through just because she depended on a transport service that failed to provide protection repeatedly.
A serious investigation should be carried out and these criminals should be put through pressing consequences so that others know they’d be held accountable for their actions.
The authorities should make sure that such people don’t getaway with their crimes enabling a threatening environment for women.
