#PAKvsUSA ended in an upset that we are all aware of by now. So, while its being termed as an upset, here is a look at why it should not come as a surprise and why it might just be a blessing in disguise.

Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe during the last T20 World Cup, to Afghanistan during the last ODI World Cup, and to Ireland in a T20 match during a bilateral series. Over the years, for whatever reason, Babar Azam-led teams have put themselves under unnecessary pressure against weaker teams because of which they have ended up on the losing side. The green shirts have a habit of pushing the panic button at the start of an ICC event anyway. So, given Pakistan’s track record and recent performances, while the defeat is embarrassing, it is not surprising.

Is It A Blessing in Disguise?

In ICC events, Pakistan’s performance tends to improve following a debacle. Generally, they play without pressure after suffering an embarrassing loss. So, will Pakistan rise from the ashes, or is the damage already beyond repair? Given their unpredictability, we will have to wait and see!
