With only a couple of months left before the big event, here is a look at 3 questions that Pakistan must answer before the ICC World Cup.

Who Will Be The Third Pacer?
The green shirts would want to play Shaheen Shah Afridi as well as PSL’s best bowler Hasan Ali in every game of the prestigious tournament.
However, they seem to be struggling to find the third pacer who is capable of assisting them. Mohd. Amir and Usman Shinwari are in awful limited overs form at the moment. Mohd. Abass too hasn’t impressed so far and Mohd. Hasnain lacks experience and exposure. Junaid Khan on the other hand is prone to injuries while Faheem Ashraf is yet to come up with something note-worthy.
Hence, Pakistan eventually, has little choice but to make a compromise. Nevertheless, they are running short on time and thus, it is imperative that they make up their mind on the third pacer that they would want to play in the playing eleven and provide confidence to him before the mega event.

Do They Want To Go In With Fakhar Zaman?
Fakhar Zaman too hasn’t been in good form and Shan Masood too is yet to impress in the ODI format. Haris Sohail on the other hand has shown a decent comeback performance during the ongoing ODI series against Australia. So, the think-tank involved needs to figure out if they would really want to take a chance with Fakhar or if they have enough confidence to allow either Haris Sohail or Babar Azam to open the innings for them with Imam-ul-Haq.

Imad Wasim or Shadab Khan?
Yasir Shah hasn’t been effective at all during the ongoing ODI series against Australia. This then leaves the selectors with little choice but to persist with Imad Wasim and Shadab Khan in their squad. Imad has certainly improved his big-hitting ability however, his bowling seems to have taken a back-seat particularly, when ball becomes a little old. Shadab Khan on the other hand too hasn’t shown spectacular form after returning from his injury. So, would Pakistan play Shadab and hence, take the risk of playing with a long tail (even though Mickey Arthur is convinced that he is an all-rounder) or should they play Imad and bank on Mohd. Hafeez and Haris Sohail as back up bowlers is the question that the men in green need to answer before the big event begins in England from May, 30.
