The series between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in UAE should end by the end of this week. Despite losing both Test matches Pakistan made a remarkable comeback in the One Day Internationals (ODIs) and registered a whitewash against the visiting side.
Here is a look at the three Pakistani debutante cricketers who cemented their place in the playing eleven during the Pak vs Sri Lanka series.
Haris Sohail made his Test debut during the first Test match of the series. He ended up scoring half centuries in both games and returned with an average of 44.

Despite this being his first series he batted like a seasoned professional and grabbed the opportunity to secure his place in Pakistan’s playing eleven.
Imam-ul-Haq made a memorable debut in the third ODI of the series. He scored a century during the game and followed it with another impressive show during the final ODI in Sharjah.
Owing to his consistent performance he is now likely to remain a regular member of Pakistan’s ODI squad – at least for the next couple of series.
Usman Khan Shinwari
Usman Khan Shinwari made his debut during the fourth ODI of the series. It was during the second game of his ODI career and the last of the series in Sharjah that he produced magic by picking up five wickets in 21 balls.
If he remains fit and keeps producing Sharjah-like spells then it’s only a matter of time before he becomes Pakistan’s new spearhead to reckon with!
